The root cause of hemorrhoids is that the pelvic region and anorectal area is overstressed. This may be due to a number of reasons including straining during bowel movements, constipation, aging, or hereditary factors. For pregnant women, the pressure of the fetus as well as hormonal changes can cause hemorrhoid vessels to enlarge. A healthier and toned pelvic region will have more circulation, less stagnant blood, and a lowered chance of developing hemorrhoids. Hence, improving the health of the pelvic and anal region is key to eliminating hemorrhoids.
The Peristal is the world’s first and only patented hemorrhoid massager. It is scientifically designed to work with your body’s own natural contractions, utilizing exercise to increase circulation and address lower pelvic health.
Hands-free and self-propelled through kegal exercises, the Peristal can help address issues related to anorectal health. Unlike most other options which provide only temporary relief or require invasive surgery, the Peristal provides an all-natural, non-medicinal alternative.
Typically, most people do not attempt to control the muscular movements of their pc-sphincter muscles. However, once a person learns to control these muscles through use of the Peristal™, significant health benefits can be realized, along with much greater potential to ward off issues caused by poor circulation, stagnant blood, and weak musculature. These benefits have already been demonstrated by the success of our patented Pro-State Prostate Massager.
With Peristal, every curve and every angle serves a purpose. It is anatomically designed to allow one to gently and effectively self-massage the anal-rectal canal – hands-free – creating circulation and increasing muscle toning. Simply contract and relax the PC sphincter muscles and the Peristal moves. Eventually, for many users peristaltic motion is instigated.
Designed with your body in mind, the Peristal is safe, simple-to-use, and truly revolutionary.

PERISTAL 4 Step Complete Plan
Although the Peristal can be purchased and used individually, the 4-Step Complete Plan is what we recommend for attaining optimal results. The 4 Step Plan includes all 4 Peristal sizes and helps to achieve the desired long-term results that the Peristal is designed to accomplish. This plan is the complete way to improving your lower body system muscles.
Due to the vast amount of nerve endings and muscles in your lower body systems, small variations in the sizes of the Peristal generate different feelings and effects. The 4-Step Complete Plan starts out with the largest model, the 22mm (Step 1). As you start to exercise and build your pc-sphincter muscles, your muscles will be able to achieve greater control and grip, thus allowing you to advance to the 20mm (Step 2), 18mm (Step 3), and eventually the 16mm (Step 4). Similar to toning and conditioning any other muscle in your body, having a gradual program to tone your anal rectal system is the safest and most effective means to achieve optimal muscle tone and to improve overall lower pelvic health.
Simple, sleek, and revolutionary in both design and function, the Peristal is a new patented device invented to promote genitourinary and anorectal health. For use by men and women, the Peristal instigates peristaltic motions within the anal canal, effectively perform a self-massage of the anal-rectal area. Improving health through toning and rejuvenating essential systems of the lower body is our proven specialty, already evident in our physician-endorsed Pro-State Prostate Massagers.
Wash the Peristal with HIH's All Natural Cleaner or with warm, soapy water before and after each use.
Except for lubrication purposes, do not manipulate the Peristal with your hands.
Do not use in cases of extreme hemorrhoid flare-ups.
The rectum is usually empty about an hour after a bowel movement. However, for cleaner operation, you may want to cleanse the rectum with warm water. - NOT an enema solution. If you’d like, you can use a rectal syringe.
Lie on your side. Keeping the lower leg straight, bring your top knee to your stomach. This position is usually the easiest and best position for insertion. Once you become more familiar with the device, you can try other positions.
Apply sufficient lubrication to the Peristal, the anus, and the entire anal canal. To lubricate the anal canal, use your finger, the device itself, HIH’s Precision lubricant, or a lubricant applicator.
Note that many quality lubricants contain glycerin, which can cause an enema effect. Thus, use only a sufficient amount of lubricant.
To lubricate the anal canal with the device itself, slowly insert a lubricated Peristal into the anal canal. Then, gently move the Peristal in and out several times, but without extracting the device fully.
Relax your PC-sphincter muscles. The PC-sphincter muscles are the muscles used to stop the flow of urine.
Slowly insert the Peristal up to only its neck. Do not use force; allow it to glide in gently. *The purpose of this is to fit the first part of the Peristal into the intermuscular groove of the anal canal, which is located between the internal and external sphincter. Both the intermuscular groove and the adjacent area (a common site of exterior hemorrhoids), are rich in (pudendal) nerve endings.
With a moderately strong contraction, gradually tighten the PC-sphincter muscles and your body will naturally pull the Peristal deeper inside the anal canal. In instances of a weaker PC-sphincter, it may be necessary to lightly support the base/foot of the Peristal with your finger.
Relax and remain still for a roughly 5 to 10 minutes, allowing your body to accommodate the presence of the Peristal. Focus on relaxing your entire body and releasing any tension that may be held in the anal region. Deep breathing and a tranquil setting are recommended. You may start to feel tingling or moving sensations inside the anal canal. You may even notice that the Peristal moves by itself. This is desirable.
Begin contractions of your PC-sphincter muscles again, experimenting with different strengths, durations and eventually different body positions. During this process, the anal canal and the rectum will begin to contract, creating a “push-pull” effect with the Peristal alternately being pushed out then drawn deeper into the anal canal. These exercises continuously place the device in an unstable position, instigating peristaltic motions inside the anal canal and generating blood circulation and warmth to the region.
When the Peristal stops its movement or when the pleasurable sensation diminishes, contract your PC-sphincter to draw the Peristal forward or add rectal pressure to push the Peristal outward, returning it to an unstable position inside the anal canal. Steps 5 and 6 can be repeated as desired.
The Peristal is a hands free, self-massaging device. It is not designed to be pushed or pulled by the hand during use. Thus, allow the anal canal to naturally maneuver the Peristal.
The massaging motions of the Peristal are designed to restore circulation to your lower body.
The Peristal is designed as a step-by-step exercise device intended to assist users in exercising, toning and conditioning their anal PC-sphincter muscles. As such, users are advised to start with the largest model and advance to smaller models in sequence only after mastering the larger models.
The Peristal is designed as an exercise plan. Thus, it should be used even when there are no outbreaks of hemorrhoids and it can be used during minor to moderate hemorrhoids. However, the Peristal should NOT be used when your muscles are extremely sensitive, such as during major hemorrhoid flare-ups (ie...internal hemorrhoids in stage 3 or 4, and external hemorrhoids).
Exercising the muscles in this region such as with the Peristal (by controlling the rectal pressure and the contractions of the PC sphincter) is an ideal practice to maintain and increase good health and can have additional benefits.
The condition of the anal canal varies throughout the day and will also vary from day by day. The Peristal is designed to accommodate these changes by automatically locating the most balanced and effective position inside the anal canal.
As the user becomes more familiar with the Peristal, he/she can vary the effects through different strengths, durations and positions. These changes will instigate varying degrees of peristaltic motions and feelings.
As with any health decisions, it is advisable to seek the adivce of physicians before use and for any other related questions.
